General Nursing & Midwifery
Eligibility
PUC / PDC / HSC * Male / Female candidates between the ages of 17 to 35 years are eligible.
Duration
Three Academic Years
The institute prepares students for the ‘A’ grade professionals in Nursing and Midwifery conducted by Karnataka State GNM Examination Board under the auspices of the Director of Medical Education and Government of Karnataka, it is approved by INC New Delhi.
Objectives:
The nurses completing this course will be able to
- Demonstrate skills required in the nursing process in the provision of health care and nursing of patients.
- Assess the nursing needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout life, from birth to death.
- Plan appropriate action to meet their needs through completed safe nursing care.
- Prevention of illness, restoration of health, and rehabilitation.
Philosophy:
We believe that the practice of nursing, as described above, requires a good understanding of basic scientific principles. We recognize that nursing is a profession influenced by advances in science and biology. We believe that we have a responsibility for the overall development of the student.
